The Course is offered by the Centre for Museum Education Roma TRE University, Dept. of Education.

It is a full-year, 60 ECTS Course.

The course is offered according to a blended (face to face and online) mode.

The online part foresees the study of a series of theoretical units, drawn by the most important national and international field reference literature. The course will offer a wider number of units compared to the 15 needed to gain the 22,5 credits required (ECTS European Credit Transfer and Accumulation). Every participant will be able then to plan an individualised teaching and learning path, chosen on his/her own personal interests. In this phase he/she will be supported by the teaching staff of the Board and Scientific Council.

Lectures, seminars, meetings and workshops are held in various Roman museums by lecturers and experts in museum education from well-recognised museums and research centres. Also in this case teaching and learning offer will be wider than required to allow the definition of an individualized path.

A central point of the course is the possibility to carry out an internship in Italy (minimum of three weeks). This internship aims at giving students the opportunity to put into practice the theories and techniques acquired during the course. It will be focused on the achievement of a final research project to be assessed by an international examination board.

At the end of the course, participants, supported by an Italian and a foreign supervisor, will draft a final project work.
