Activities provided within the course will train professionals to:

  • define, in an international key, the concept of standard in its various contexts;
  • apply the concept of standard to the field of cultural mediation in museums;
  • compare different international experiences interpreting them in terms of reference standards;
  • organize empirical research at international level, comparing survey tools produced in different contexts and adapt them from a cultural perspective;
  • design cultural mediation activities that may relate to an international audience;
  • produce materials tailored to different audiences, with particular reference to the innovations produced in national and international contexts;
  • use statistical concepts enabling main data analysis;
  • assess the outcomes of the activities of cultural mediation and learn to interpret their results;
  • plan improvement actions as highlighted by field activity;
  • produce reports that clearly take into account all aspects of an activity of cultural mediation in museums.
